Port Burwell in the Municipality of
Bayham
The Elgin Military Museum is proud to have chosen Port
Burwell in the Municipality of Bayham
as the new home of HMCS Ojibwa. Located on the sunny north
shore of Lake Erie, Port Burwell is the perfect destination for
beach goers, campers and boaters alike. The surrounding area offers
everything from artisans to wineries.
The museum deeply appreciates the warm welcome and support that
Project Ojibwa has received from the local government, businesses
and the entire community.
The Elgin Business Resource Centre

Elgin Business Resource Centre is a community-based, non-profit
organization overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors who ably
represent the population of Elgin County. The corporation is
staffed by business professionals who encourage entrepreneurship
and the pursuit of economic opportunities.
The Centre played a critical role in Project Ojibwa by providing
the original grant to write the business plan without which the
Project would never have gotten off the ground. Since those
early days, they have continued to play an important role by
providing advice and assistance. For more information visit:

The Sand Plains Community Development

assist rural communities in the Sand Plains region to build a
stronger, more diversified economy. This Fund is intended for
community initiatives which support regional development; stimulate
business, investment and job creation; strengthen local populations
and attract visitors. Rural projects in the counties of
Brant, Elgin, Middlesex, Norfolk and Oxford may apply for
assistance.
Oberon experience and expertise - former crew
members
The museum is harnessing the energy and expertise of former
Oberon submariners to assist with the care and restoration of the
boat. They will get it ship shape and keep it real.
