Ojibwa at Faslane 1975
Finding images of Ojibwa and the men in her life takes a bit of
sleuthing. Fortunately, there is a lot of help to be had and some
humour along the way. George Cruickshank at the Battle of the
Atlantic Museum out west had some shots of the Ojibwa crew at
Faslane in 1975 - one with a list of names attached. Some of the
names were missing but I thought I recognized Gilles Poirier so I
sent it off to him to see if he could fill in any of the blanks. He
was a big help since he had a version of that photo too. We
both had a good laugh when we discovered that in my photo the men
are capless and in his, everyone is wearing their cap making the ID
a bit more challenging.
